Delta Airlines - Should airlines reimburse passengers for mechanical delays?
Delta flight 768 from Atlanta to milwaukee was supposed to leave at 9:43 pm on sunday may 13.
It is now 11:33 pm and all three planes they tried had mechanical problems.
I am tired of running to a gate only to discover the new plane also has mechanical problems.
As their CEO says on the welcome message, safety is job # 1.
But Delta should have planes that work and when they don't shouldn't airlines be required to compensate passengers for their time? 50% for first delay due to mechanical problems.
75% refund when second plane assigned also has mechanical problems and free flight if third plane assigned also has mechanical problems. A policy like this would force airlines to maintain planes on their time not mine.
I am diamond on delta and spend over $40,000 a year on delta flights.
I'd switch but they are all equally bad.
